Thanksgiving

We had an enjoyable (and much too short) holiday, traveling to Greenville to visit with the Doctor's family and on to Raleigh where my family gathered. Much tasty food was consumed and Mom sent us home with a Ham Care Kit™, containing the generous remains of a HoneyBaked Ham, a bottle of HBH mustard, a jar of artichoke relish, a bagful of potato rolls, a foil packet full of turkey and (bonus) a whole container of homemade turkey salad. I could live off of this for two weeks.

One of the great things about getting together with my family for Thanksgiving is that I get to pick my Uncle Steve's brain for landscaping advice and recipe recommendations. This year, I left with a solution to my pea gravel pathway problem and a kickass recipe for Grand Marnier cheesecake. I hope to employ my newfound information on both fronts by Christmas, so I can report back on my success.
